Book Blog #2

This week my book of the week was called Twenty Boy Summer by Sarah Ockler. This story isn't just your average story. This story is about a girl Anna, who goes on a vacation with her best friend Frankie and her family to California for twenty days. Anna is looking for a fun trip across the country with her fun-loving best friend, Frankie on the other hand plans to meet a different boy every day. Hoping to find the summer romance, every stereotypical teenage girl dreams of. Unfortunately there's something Frankie doesn't know. Anna already had her romance, And not with just anyone, with Frankie's older brother Matt who died in a car crash barely a year ago. This makes it hard for her to meet the twenty guys, or enjoy it.
This story is maybe not the best quality story or what you'd call a classic, and by just looking at the title you might think it's just the kind of book you read when you're looking for an easy book. But instead it is a beautiful love story, that tells about loss, and sadness. As well as adventures and joy. I would recommend this book to anyone who liked The Fault in Our Stars, or any other John Green books.
